Who this helps

Built around a buying situation.

  • SMEs building or improving a quality management system
  • Suppliers responding to customer or tender requirements
  • Quality managers preparing for internal or external audits

Useful when

The trigger is already visible.

  • A customer requires ISO 9001 certification
  • Your QMS does not reflect how the business now operates
  • An audit is approaching and evidence or corrective actions need review

The position

A quality management system built around your business.

Pegasus helps define the scope of your quality management system, compare existing arrangements with the applicable ISO 9001 requirements and prioritise what needs to change. Implementation connects customer requirements, process ownership, suppliers, competence, records and improvement to everyday work. An existing QMS can also be reviewed and improved without starting again. Consultancy and internal audit support prepare the organisation for its own decisions and independent assessment; certification remains separate.

01

A quality-system scope matched to your customers and operations

02

Usable process controls, responsibilities and quality records

03

Prioritised audit findings and corrective actions

Scope

What the work includes.

Every engagement is scoped around authority, operating context, available evidence and the decision that must be made.

01

ISO 9001 gap analysis

Review your activities, sites, customers, processes and existing QMS evidence. Agree the applicable standard and audit criteria, identify gaps and build a prioritised action plan.

02

Quality management system implementation

Develop or improve the process controls, responsibilities and documented information needed to manage customer requirements, suppliers, delivery, change and nonconformities.

03

Internal audit and certification readiness

Review implementation through a scoped internal audit, management-review preparation and corrective-action follow-up before independent external assessment.

Method

A controlled route from exposure to evidence.

Decision points, responsibilities and verification stay visible from the start.

01

Discover

Define the exposure, context, evidence, owners and decision that matters.

02

Design

Select proportionate controls and make responsibilities and hold points visible.

03

Implement

Embed the agreed system into the real operating workflow.

04

Verify

Test whether controls work and whether the evidence supports the conclusion.

05

Improve

Close actions, learn from exceptions and strengthen the system over time.

Outputs

Evidence designed for use.

QMS scope, process map and prioritised gap-analysis findings

Agreed process controls and documented-information requirements

Internal audit findings and corrective-action plan, where included in scope

Management-review inputs and certification-readiness actions

Professional boundaries

Precision includes saying what the work does not claim.

Questions answered

Before you scope the work.

Can you help with both a new QMS and an existing system?

Yes. The scope can cover gap analysis and implementation for a new system, improvement of existing processes, or a focused internal audit. Existing documents and records are reviewed before recommending additional work.

Does Pegasus issue ISO 9001 certification?

No. Pegasus provides consultancy, implementation and internal audit support. An independent certification body decides whether the organisation meets its certification requirements; Pegasus cannot guarantee that decision.

Do we need a quality manual?

The useful starting point is the documented information your business needs to control its processes and demonstrate the applicable requirements. Pegasus reviews existing information before recommending a format or adding documentation.

What affects the cost and timescale of ISO 9001 support?

The scope depends on the number of sites, process complexity, existing system and records, internal capacity, and the gaps identified. Any target audit date is considered when agreeing the work; consultancy and certification-body arrangements are separate.

Can ISO 9001 be integrated with other management systems?

Yes. Common activities such as document control, internal audit, management review and corrective action can be coordinated with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001, while preserving the requirements specific to each standard.
